Adirondack Golfers Make History Advancing to State Qualifier
BOONVILLE, NY — For the first time in over two decades, the Adirondack Central School District is sending not one, but two talented golfers to the prestigious 2025 NYSPHSAA Section III Boys State Qualifier. Sam Andrews and Jack Hutton have both earned their spots in this elite competition, with their sights now set on the New York State Championships.
The Section III State Qualifier represents the final hurdle before the top high school golfers in New York converge at Mill Creek Golf Club in Rochester from June 7–9 for the state championship tournament.
Andrews and Hutton have demonstrated remarkable skill and composure throughout the season, each playing a vital role in propelling Adirondack’s golf program back into the spotlight. Their advancement marks a significant milestone for the school and the local golf community, rekindling a legacy of academic and athletic excellence.
The entire Adirondack community is rallying behind Sam and Jack as they prepare to take on the best golfers in the region. Their performance at the Section III Qualifier could earn them a coveted spot at the state level, where they would represent not only their school but the entire Section III region.
